Which Danish electricity comparison sites show the whole market, and which show only the companies that pay?

Portaltjek is an open, AI-assisted review of 37 Danish websites that compare electricity retailers for households. It is published by the electricity retailer Osmund ApS (CVR 45357481), which pays no comparison site and therefore has an obvious interest in sites showing the whole market. The method is public and anchored in law; the data is open.

Key findings (observed 29 October and 2 November 2026)

54 electricity retailers had at least one priced household product on the statutory price portal elpris.dk (grid area Radius, postcode 2200). That is the benchmark for “the whole market”.
Only 8 of 33 ranked sites show (nearly) all 54 retailers with a price. 22 price at most 16 retailers, almost exclusively paying partners.
No private site links to retailers that do not pay it. On the best private sites everyone is listed and ranked by price, but only paying partners get a “go to” button.
Three companies (Adlab ApS, Mondo Media ApS, Asimic ApS) run 13 of the 33 sites; several domains share the same feed and partner list. Four sites have no identifiable publisher at all.
AI test, 2 November 2026: Google’s AI Overview answered “Altid Energi” to “which electricity company is cheapest in Denmark”, citing three affiliate sites where Altid Energi is a paying partner. On elpris.dk the same product ranked 13th of 176 (postcode 2200, 4,000 kWh) the same day.
Osmund (the publisher) has been on elpris.dk since 19 August 2026, pays no site and appears on 8 of the 33 sites. Whether Osmund is shown earns no points.

Scores out of 24 on ten criteria derived from Directive (EU) 2019/944 art. 14, the Danish Electricity Supply Act § 82 b and the Marketing Practices Act § 6(4), § 6 a and Annex 1 no. 11 a. Method in brief

All sites were read on 29 October 2026; 17 were re-verified in a real browser on 2 November 2026. We counted retailers shown with a price, recorded buttons and links, read the sites’ own “about”, “how we earn money” and method pages, and looked up owners in the Danish company register (CVR). Ten criteria, 24 points: ownership and funding disclosed (3), advertising disclosure (3), market coverage (4, halved when prices are older than 120 days), honesty about coverage (2), equal treatment in ranking (4), ranking criteria published (2), timeliness (2), price basis (2), error reporting (1), data minimisation (1). Ties are broken by equal treatment, coverage and advertising disclosure. The analysis was carried out by an AI model (Claude, Anthropic) under the direction of Osmund’s founders, and fact-checked by a separate AI run before publication; the person responsible for the content is Niklas Allamand Dib, co-founder and CEO. Every site has a right of reply; corrections are logged with dates.
